Showcase Concert

Join us for the Showcase Concert on Monday, March 24th at 7:15pm. The Annual Showcase Concert features all the instrumental and Color Guard performing units from Canyon High School and El Rancho Charter School. Our objective is to showcase (in one concert) the musical talent of our Anaheim Hills community elementary school, middle school and high school. A secondary objective is to get the elementary school and middle school students and parents excited about continuing on in their music studies in middle school and high school by demonstrating how much fun it can be. This event is free; the show will begin in the CHS cafeteria and move to the gym to view the marching performances, including Color Guard, Drumline and the combined El Rancho & CHS bands in a marching exhibition plus the ever-popular drill down. In a drill-down event, complex marching commands are given fast and faster, and the last student standing wins.

Think “Green” When Recyling Your Holiday Tree 0

The greenest way to recyucle your holiday tree is to cut it up and place it inside your brown yard waste container.  Flocked trees cannot be recycled and must be either cut up and placed in your black trash container or removed as a bulky item.  By eliminating the need for additional collection trucks your tree is recycled while reducing greenhouse gas emissions and saving natural resources.

Take advantage of the Free Holiday Tree Collection Program by placing your tree on the ground next to your collection containters on service day during the two week period beginning Wednesday, December 26, 2012 through Tuesday, January 8, 2013.  Anaheim residents who live in multi-family dwellings should check with their property management company to see if special provisions have been made to collect holiday trees.  If no provisions have been made, residents may place their tree next to the bin enclosures.  All trees more than six feet tall must be cut in half to be eligible for this special collection.  Do not place trees inside or in front of containers or enclosures.   The following options are available for tree disposal after Wednesday, January 9, 2013:

Cut your tree into small pieces to fit in your brown yard waste container; or

Schedule a bulky item collection by contacting Republic Services Customer Serive at 714 238-2444 or byy entering an Online Service Request at www.anaheimdisposal.net.

Seven Gables Annual Garage Sale Event – Saturday, October 27th 0

If you’ve ever watched Antiques Roadshow or the popular American Pickers, you know that the rarest of treasures are often discovered in the most unlikely places. And sometimes if you’re lucky, they can be found in your own backyard . . . or your neighbor’s at least.

More than 30 homeowners in the communities of Anaheim Hills, Orange and Villa Park are participating in a Garage Sale Event, which is being orchestrated by Seven Gables Real Estate this Saturday, October 27th starting at 7:00 a.m. So instead of scouring the country’s junkyards in search of furniture, collectibles and other rare finds, why not venture into several of OC’s finest neighborhoods for bargains you won’t find anywhere else?

Yard sale fanatics also known as “yardies” are certain to show up early for advertised events such as this one, so be sure to plan ahead. And for the best deals of the day, you may want to arrive a little later in the morning when sellers are willing to slash prices further.

Directional signs will be posted in and around each neighborhood and refreshments will be served at each host property. To access a complete list of participating addresses please click here or for a Google map of directions to each home, click here.
